Corporate Social Responsibilities

At Jayachandra, we are committed to growing our business in a socially responsible way, as we believe it to be the holistic approach. Our vision is to grow our business whilst reducing the environmental impact of our operations and increasing our positive social impact. Our CSR initiatives - mentioned below - are based on the most pressing challenges faced by humanity today with our prime focus on sustainability.

As a trustee and founding member of the Avinashi Kalvi Nilayam Higher Secondary School, we help provide education to children in the rural areas. We extend our support by participating in the internal activities of the school and making annual visits.

Ulave Thalai is a forum that is actively involved in creating awareness and the importance of organic farming. As a part of its organising committee, we participate in field visits and help educate farmers about more organic farm practices to promote sustainable development.

As Annual Life Members of the Vanam India Foundation, we participate in afforestation projects that work towards increasing the green cover in Coimbatore and nearby cities.

A NGO formed recently, Kulangal Paathukaapu Amaippu started by Mr. Manikandan, aims at cleaning and rejuvenating all the water bodies in and around the city. We have extended our support to the organisation to help achieve its goals.

Our Managing Director and our Joint Managing Director are active members in the Manchester Rotary Club and Innerwheel Club of Coimbatore, respectively. Both these organisations work toward humanitarian causes and take-up projects like development of infrastructure in the rural areas and such.

With our Managing Director serving presidency of the Tamil Nadu Bearing Association for more than a decade, we have made many contributions to the Disaster Relief Funds over the years. We extended our support during the 2004 tsunami, the 2018 Kerala floods, the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak and similar such events.

Our agro-forestry farm, in collaboration with Vanam Foundation India, cultivates diverse crops alongside trees, promoting biodiversity, ecological balance, soil health, water retention, and climate change mitigation. We aim to educate and inspire the community in adopting sustainable agricultural practices for a resilient future.

We also help improve the livelihood in a shelter to mentally ill people, Cheshire Homes, which houses around 100 differently abled people, by making occasional contributions.
